Am I a candidate?
- Patients with drooping eyebrows or forehead hooding
- Individuals with deep glabellar frown lines
- Healthy adults, typically 40 and above, with adequate scalp laxity
The procedure
- General anaesthesia or sedation in an accredited facility
- Three to five small incisions placed within the scalp
- Endoscope used to visualise and lift brow tissues, which are then repositioned
- Fixation with bioabsorbable anchors or sutures
- Surgery duration: approximately 1–2 hours
Recovery
- Mild swelling and temporary forehead numbness in the initial days
- Hair washing typically permitted after 3 days
- Return to work in 7–10 days
- Results stabilise at 1–3 months
Risks & considerations
Risks include infection, asymmetry, hair thinning at incision sites, prolonged numbness, brow over-elevation, and headache. Scalp conditions or thin hair may increase scar visibility.
